GRAACA Fall Tour

Time: 9:00 AM – Coffee, Juice, Doughnuts, and Fruit. 10:00 AM – Tour Departs.
Location: Don Barlup’s 1926 Tressler Service Station at 204 S. Carlisle St, New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania 17068. Telephone: (717) 582-3209 for directions or pullman1914@aol.com. Located on Route 34 north from Carlisle.
This drive will tour rural roads of Perry County. Perry County has 14 covered bridges. While several are closed to traffic, participants will travel over 70 miles to see and cross seven bridges. During the tour we will be travelling on the pastoral byways with breathtaking scenery and vistas of Perry County. Fall foliage in Perry County can’t be beat.
Parking is available next door at Pennian Bank. RSVP prior to October 14th, 2024, to provide the number of people attending so plans can be made accordingly.
Please note: One stop is planned for this trip. Unfortunately, Perry County does not offer many opportunities for an appropriate stop along the route. There will be a gas station along the way for those who’ve “gotta go”. We will reach Little Buffalo State Park in about 2 hours for our lunch stop at pavilion # 2. We will also visit the 1837 Shoaff’s Mill at the park. Cost for the tour is $25.00 per person. Written directions will be provided.
After lunch we will take a shorter, more direct route back to Tresslers. If the weather is questionable, modern wheels are OK and encouraged.
GRAACA Nominations Dinner
—Sunday, November 3, 2024, Hanover, PA
This year’s Nominations Dinner will be held at Hoss’s Steak & Sea House, 1180 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA at 1:00pm. We will have a limited menu of 5 choices consisting of Soup/Salad & Dessert Bar, 1/4 lb. Willie Burger with fries, 6 oz. Steak Dinner, Chicken Filet Dinner or Shrimp Dinner. You will order and pay at the restaurant on that day.
Following the Nominations, we will be honoring our past 35 Presidents from the last 70 years. We encourage any Past President to participate and hopefully share a memorable moment from their time in office.

Directions: Hoss’s is conveniently located at the corner of Carlisle St. (Rt. 94) and Eisenhower Dr. in the north end of Hanover. Route 94 runs north and south and is the main street in Hanover. Route 94 is easily accessible from Rt. 15 in the north, from Rt. 30 east and west and Rt.194 and Maryland Rt. 30 in the south
GRAACA Christmas Party

Our Annual Christmas Party will be at The Bay City Restaurant (Bay City Seafood), 110 Eisenhower Drive, Hanover, PA. As some of our attendees drive a considerable distance we have changed the time of the Banquet to an earlier hour. Doors open at 12:30 pm. Brief comments from our President at 1 pm. They will start serving at 1:20 pm. Please use “Front Entrance” to the restaurant.
We will have our own attractively decorated room as we return to this well-received location for 2024. Look forward to some fine food, holiday cheer with friends and music of the season.
We are so pleased to have as our entertainment this year JOHN PEPSIN. He sings and plays The Great American Songbook. Music by your favorite artists including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, John Denver, Glen Campbell, Elvis Presley and more.
There will be a visit from Santa Claus for all the good boys and girls aged 1 to 101. If you bring children, please bring a wrapped gift for each of the children with their names on it and put the gift in the box by the door marked for that purpose.
Choose a delicious entree – a 2 Crab Cake Dinner, Salmon Monte Carlo or Roast Beef with filling. Meals include tossed salad, vegetables and Pie and ice cream. For the young folks (12 and under) a choice of Cheeseburger Dinner or Chicken Nugget Dinner.

Directions: Eisenhower Drive is on the northside of town between Routes 94 (Carlisle Street) and 194. The restaurant is located on the north side of the street, just a couple of buildings from the Route 94 intersection.
