Festivities resumed this year at Latimore Valley Fairgrounds! Our annual car show took place on Saturday, June 12, and despite having gray skies in the morning, it was an overall success. with 122 cars on the field.
Attendees got to experience some new things this year. Lunch was provided by the York Springs Lions Club and Rock-It Pizza & Subs food truck from Newberrytown. Also, the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing hosted a valve cover racing event at our show. It was a hit, and there’s talk that attendees might get to take part in the fun at Latimore again next year.

A reminder for our members:
We are in need of donations for our White Elephant Table at the Latimore Valley Car Show on June 12.
The White Elephant table is a good way for the club to raise a little extra money. You can either bring them to Latimore on the day of the show–the earlier in the day the better–or contact Pat Shaffer at 717-258-4964.
If there is something of an unusually large value, please give her a heads up on that also.
With your assistance we can have a wonderful White Elephant sale this year!
This is just a reminder that the committee meeting for the Latimore Car Show will take place on Tuesday, April 16th at 7:00 pm at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.
Please contact Bob Shultz 717-766-0457 for more information.
Saturday, June 9th —
A very special show this year! After weeks of what seemed like endless rain, the sun finally broke through. Flooding meant having to move things from the racetrack up to the museum, but the new location seemed to work in our favor. A round of applause is due to co-chairs Ken Buohl and Bob Shultz for their quick thinking and leadership.
The feature car was Chevrolet’s Camaro, and attendees were also treated to a World War I Centennial presentation of war era military vehicles provided by members of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.
There was something for everybody—old and young alike as kids got to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Mattel Hotwheels with a Hotwheels Classic Car Show & Race Challenge.
As always, many thanks go to all our volunteers, the York Springs Lions Club, and the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing . Without your hard work and support, the day would not have been possible. You really pulled through. Great job!
