GRAACA Summer Picnic

NOTE NEW LOCATION AND NEW DATE

         Join us for good food and games at the New Kingstown Firehouse Pavilion. The GRAACA will provide the meats, drinks and plates, etc., you supply the side dishes and desserts. Outlets available for crockpots if needed to keep your food warm. We will dine on pulled pork from Redds Barbeque and grilled hot dogs with all the fixings. We will eat at 1:00pm. Come early! The pavilion is open any time after 11:30am., modern restrooms at the site.

We hope you will join in the theme and wear a Hawaiian shirt, dress, skirt, or outfit. There will be fun games with “TROPICAL” prizes. No one is a looser, everyone gets a “Luau” souvenir. There is a large level grass parking lot on the West side of the pavilion. Please share one of your old cars and display it with us as we enjoy the summer weather. Cost per person: $15.00, Kids and Grandkids under 12 free. Registration deadline is July 8th, 2023.

Directions: From Route 11: Carlisle Pike, {red light}, turn SOUTH on Locust Point Rd, go two blocks, crossing Main Street, turn into the parking lot just past the firehouse on your RIGHT. Sign Posted.

From Trindle Rd: Route 641, Turn North on Locust Point RD, go 2.7 miles to fire house on LEFT, Turn into parking lot just before Fire house. Sign Posted.

From Gettysburg: take Route 15N past Dillsburg, Take the Lisburn Rd. Exit, Turn LEFT at the light, bottom of the ramp, onto W. Lisburn Rd. Travel 2.8 miles to locust Point Rd. Turn RIGHT onto Locust Point Rd, travel total of 4.7 miles, note crossing Trindle Rd at 2 miles, continue 2.7 miles, Fire House on the LEFT. Turn into parking lot just before Fire house. Sign Posted.

Again at beautiful Codorus State Park just east of Hanover, Pa. Enjoy the enclosed air-conditioned Classroom Building overlooking the lake, or bring a folding chair to enjoy the view outdoors. Arrive 11:00 a.m. or after; serving will commence around 1:00 p.m.

         Bring your antique car and relax with fellow club members.  The region will provide grilled hotdogs, hamburgers, drinks, silverware, cups and plates. To help offset the cost of the event, the cost is $5 per person (free if under age 12). Each member is asked to bring their favorite summer dish or a dessert to share. Please write down the recipe to share with friends! Refrigeration is available.

DIRECTIONS TO THE PARK: From I-83, take exit 8 and drive 17 miles on Rt. 216 west to the park. OR from Rt. 30 turn onto Rt. 116 west, travel 7 miles, turn left onto Grandview Road, continue to next signal light, turn onto Rt. 216, drive 2 miles to the park.

DIRECTION WITHIN PARK: The Classroom Building is round and easy to notice.

If entering the park from Sinsheim Road: Turn right onto Rt. 216 (Blooming Grove Road). Cross over 2 bridges. Turn Right onto first road to the right (Marina Road). Follow road straight to the end where you will see the Classroom Building overlooking Lake Marburg.
